Dear Students,
The world is celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekanand who woke up mankind from deep slumber, stirred our conscience and ignited our minds with bold ideas of strength, courage and perseverance. Although the treasure of ideas he gave to the world is infinitely vast, one message that the presents his clarion call to all young men and women is "Arise! Awake! And stop not till the goal is reached".. This message is in fact, the essence of all success mantras and more relevant in present times as many distractions compete attention of young children today and helping them stay focused as become quite a challenge for the teachers as well as the parents. This quote of Swami Vivekanand has always inspired me since my school days and even today whenever I take up a new project or assignment, this thought continues to evoke the same passion and enthusiasm as it did years ago when I was a student like you. Dear children, all of you possess a great reservoir of knowledge and talents you all are capable of great achievements, all you need is to realize the great energy latent in you. You must identify your dream goal, pursue it with all the faith and hard work and your command and dedicate yourself with all your heart and soul to its full realization. You should not feel coward down by thoughts of weakness or failure. Your inner strength will illumine your path through any odds of life. Remember, success is a journey not a destination. Having reached any goal, doesn't symbolize the end of journey. Albert Einstein, the great scientist, who is regarded as one of the greatest geniuses felt even after becoming world famous that he was only a little child collecting pebbles from the seashore while the sea of knowledge lay infinitely before him. So students, continue learning......continue growing, and move ahead towards the achievement of your goal. However, the real value of setting and achieving goals must not be merely gauged by the level of success you achieve in life but, in the person you become as a result of achieving your goals. Rather than savouring only the rewards that have come from the achievement of that goal, celebrate the fact that the process of reaching your destination has improved the person you are. You have imbibed self discipline, discover new things about your abilities and manifested more of your potential benefiting yourself and others. Isn't it the greatest of all rewards? So broaden your horizons, crave for knowledge and learn things which foster positive energy in you.
