School Herbal Garden
School gardens are a wonderful way to use the schoolyard as a classroom, reconnect students with the natural world and the true source of their food, and teach them valuable gardening and agriculture concepts and skills that integrate with several subjects, such as math, science, art, health and physical education, and social studies, as well as several educational goals, including personal and social responsibility.
The School boasts of a well - planned herbal garden that includes several extinct and rare species of flora and medicinal plants.The students are motivated to take benefit of this garden to identify the species and to understand the morphological characterization of medicinal plants.Students visit herbal garden for identification of various plants on regular basis. At present there are total 100 saplings of medicinal pants.
